A new chapter is beginning for the iconic Lee Plaza. First opened in 1929 as a luxury residential hotel developed by Ralph T. Lee, the historic 15-story building is being reimagined as affordable housing for Detroit's active, older adults.

 

The redevelopment will create 117 affordable apartments for residents with incomes at or below 50% of the area median income.
